Michigan player wins big on WMS slots with a $7.2 million progressive jackpot

It was announced today by WMS Gaming that they dished out a jackpot of USD 7.2 million to one of the players from Michigan, who was playing on one of their progressive slots. WMS Gaming is a subsidiary of WMS Industries Incorporated,

The player, who is 73-year-old, won the jackpot while playing their popular progressive jackpot machine, The Lord of the Rings, at Mississippi’s Palace Casino Resort on Friday, February 18.

This jackpot amount has exceeded its previous largest winning amount by a player playing on a progressive machine from WMS. On that day, in January 2011, a player took home a jackpot sum of USD 4.9 million from the Reel Adventure.

Keith Crosby, who is the general manager at Palace Casino Resort, said, “We are one of the casinos, who are paying regular jackpot. Today, we are quite thrilled that we have become the home of winning jackpot amount of USD 7.2 million on the progressive penny slot from WMS Gaming, The Lord of the Rings, which runs statewide.”

Dean Ehrlich, who is the Vice President in Gaming Operation at WMS, was also quite excited by the news. He said, “The USD 7.2 million Palace Casino Jackpot is a life changing event for the player as well as his family. It is quite wonderful to see the largest jackpot being paid today. We are quite happy for the player.”
